Our campaigns

Watts Up Africa

Watts Up Africa is a pan-African campaign championing a transition to 100% renewable energy systems across the continent. The campaign promotes African-led, people-centred energy solutions that expand access to affordable and reliable energy, strengthen energy sovereignty and support sustainable development. Through advocacy, storytelling and public engagement, Watts Up Africa is helping build momentum for a renewable-powered future that works for people and planet.

Don’t Gas Africa

Don’t Gas Africa is a pan-African campaign challenging the expansion of fossil gas and other fossil fuel projects across the continent. The campaign argues that fossil-fuel-driven development has failed to deliver universal energy access and continues to lock millions of Africans into energy poverty despite decades of investment.

By exposing the social, economic and environmental costs of fossil fuel expansion, Don’t Gas Africa advocates for people-centred renewable energy systems that advance energy access, energy democracy and sustainable development. The campaign works with movements, communities and civil society organisations across Africa to resist fossil fuel lock-in and accelerate a just transition to renewable energy.

Adapt 2 Live

Adapt2Live is a campaign championing climate adaptation and resilience as essential pillars of Africa’s development future. The campaign works to elevate adaptation in climate and policy discussions while advocating for increased adaptation finance, locally led solutions and greater support for communities on the frontline of climate impacts. By amplifying African experiences, knowledge and solutions, Adapt2Live promotes a people-centred adaptation agenda that strengthens food systems, water security, public health and community resilience in a changing climate.
