But can they lay the groundwork for a comprehensive strategy to meet climate targets?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026Mohamed Adow, head of the Nairobi-based climate think tank Power Shift Africa, spoke of \u201ctwo realities\u201d at the climate conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOne is the world of press statements from the British government,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These\u00a0statements\u00a0suggest that \u201call is well and we have all but defeated the climate crisis.&#8217;\u201d But there is another world \u201coutside that PR bubble,\u201d Adow adds.
