Programme Manager, African Energy Transition
Colin is Power Shift Africa’s Programme Manager for African Energy Transition. Colin’s research and work has focused on renewable energy transitions and models for achieving an equitable global fossil fuel phase out. He brings that experience to manage Power Shift’s Africa Climate Energy and Development (ACED) programme.
Before joining Power Shift Africa, Colin worked with the Stockholm Environment Institute and Climate Equity Reference Project as a contributing author for the Civil Society Equity Review. Colin also worked in management and strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company, spending time based in both the Africa and Middle East office-hubs, where his projects focused on strategy and renewable energy transitions.
Colin was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford where he earned a Master of Science in Environmental Change and Management and a Master of Public Policy (distinction). Colin was also a Mandela Rhodes Scholar at the University of Cape Town where he earned a BCom in Economics and Law and a BCom (Honours) in Economics (distinction).
